Recognized as true pain management expert sincerely wishing to safely help chronic pain patients, Dr. Geller was honored to be the sole physician guest speaker invited to the August 24, 2017 conference of the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.
He discussed safest opioid prescribing strategies, oral non-narcotics, and superficial nerve blocks as first line treatment of chronic back, shoulder and neck pain.
If patients do not respond to conservative options, Dr. Geller refers to anesthesiologist colleagues for deep injections over the spine (epidurals, nerve root, facet joint,...), implantation of foreign body electrical stimulators, and neurodestructive (chemical vs. electrical melting) procedures to try to help reduce pain and enhance function as Dr. Geller only offers conservative medical pain management treatment.
With in days of the November 4, 2015 new opioid prescribing rules were published, Dr. Geller was invited to speak at the Quarterly Medical Staff Meeting December 15, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
After reviewing the content of the lecture, Southern NH Medical Center invited Dr. Geller to speak on January 14, 2016 and deemed the lecture "mandatory viewing for all medical staff."

Dr. Geller has spoken to medical staff on safe opioid prescribing for many years at; National Association for Drug Diversion Investigators, Tufts School of Medicine-New England Medical Center, Boston, Concord Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and Southern NH Medical Center.
His lectures have always been well received with a goal for all clinicians to achieve his record of zero prescription opioid death, zero prescription opioid overdose, or zero prescription opioid inpatient admission adverse event.
